We’re crossing our fingers and looking outside as we write this but it looks like the summer has finally arrived! So, with that in mind, here’s what’s going on at Enoteca this August:
Enoteca St. Paul's - Amarena Cherry
If you’ve never had an Amarena Cherry then you have certainly been missing out! These deliciously bitter, little cherries are grown in Bologna, home of St Paul’s head chef Andrea, and are in prime season right now. Andrea has taken advantage of this to pair them with a gorgeous confit duck & foie gras terrine – the sharp fruit cutting through and complimenting the fattiness perfectly. Enoteca Old Street - Aperitivo Evenings
Love cocktails? Our sunny terrace at Old Street is the ideal place to wind down with friends and colleagues after a long hard day and indulge in the Italian tradition of Aperitivo - literally “opening up”. If cocktails and sunshine weren't enough, we are offering complimentary cicchetti with every drink between 5-7.30pm to make your tastebuds tingle on a warm summer’s evening. For more events at Old Street visit our website.
If you’re after a drop of something a little different, have you heard of Lambrusco? No, not that terrible stuff from the supermarket but a lightly chilled frizzante red wine from Parma – a berry-charged glass of loveliness which we like to serve with some homemade focaccia and thinly-sliced Parma ham.
